The purpose the writers club is to nurture and encourage the imagination. By delving deep into our imaginations we learn more about ourselves. About who we are and who we want to be. Storytelling is an ancient art that betters not just ourselves but the world around us.
There are many ways to tell a story.
Writers Club First Term
We had a great time working on our writing, using games and different techniques to create some fabulous stories.
With visits from Alastair McIver, Author of ‘A Glasgow Fairy Tale’ and Keith Charters, executive director of Strident Publishing and Author of the ‘Lee’ books.
A big thank you to them for their time and helpful advice.
We ended the term with a book launch of ‘Stories By Us’ A collection of short stories and poems created by the writers club members.
If you would like to purchase a copy at £2 please contact Oak Tree Stories on the number provided below.
